Water Therapy for Dogs in Park City – Canine Rehabilitation – Dog Swimming Pools

Recovering from injury or surgery can often times be a long winding road. Restricting the activity of a declining dog can prove to be a daunting task, while also striving to maintain Fido’s health, happiness, and quality of life. Aquassage is a tailored treatment to fit the specific and unique needs of your recuperating, aging or painful pet. Aquassage is a private, one on one swim session alongside Dog Dive’s licensed canine massage practitioner. Your pet is supervised, handled, and assisted throughout the entire session.

Within the comfort of the heated pool, your pet will enjoy a unique combination of swim and massage therapy. Our goal here is to promote recovery & achieve a perfect balance of movement and bodywork, in order to regain strength, function & mobility, and decrease your dog’s level of pain. The heat of the swimming pool promotes detox, soothes the aching body, and accelerates the healing process.

We will also incorporate various resistance techniques, along with stretching and range of motion exercises. For these sessions, we utilize our submersible massage therapy table, so your pet can rest, relax and enjoy his/ her session comfortably.

These sessions prove to be mentally uplifting and provide a much needed psychological release for the weakened pet. Life jackets are provided for additional comfort.

Per Utah law, any pet receiving an Aquassage session will require a veterinary referral. We want to be confident that he/ she is an ideal candidate for the session. We are happy to reach out to your veterinarian & secure the referral on your behalf, upon providing us with the proper contact information. You may also download and print Dog Dive’s Veterinary Referral Form on our Contact page, and bring to your veterinarian for approval if you choose to do so.

Dog Dive prides itself on strong communication with licensed veterinarians in the area for the benefit of your pet’s health.
